Facilities
Hertford College Boat Club is very fortunate to have the brilliant facilities that are afforded us. A brand new boathouse was completed in 1997, shared between 5 different colleges. Hertford has its own large club room, and shares the erg room at the back of the building with the other colleges on the site.
Clubhouse
The club room is an extremely useful space. The walls are covered with honours boards with the names of past club captains and Presidents, those who have represented Oxford against Cambridge and those who have been champions on a wider stage. Ranging from Phoebe White winning the lightweight and openweight single women's scull in 1993, Paul Mattick in the 2007 World Championships in Munich to a Hertford 4+ winning the Visitors Cup at Henley in 1878.
The boathouse also has changing facilities for men and women, a warm shower and a kitchen/bar for Pimms and beer after a warm summer's day race!

Land Training Facilities
Hertford is extremely lucky to have one of the best land training facilities on the river. In 2008 we bought 8 new Concept 2 Model D ergometers, shared with the other colleges in the boathouse, taking the total training capacity up to 16. There is an erg room/gym at the back of the boathouse, including a full set of sliders and mirrors to help in coaching on the ergs.
